On my mind

Dogwood

A friend at work told me last week that I seem to be so involved in my garden that I seldom talk about cooking and tea anymore. Looking at my recent posts, I have to agree with her. I have been thinking about plants so much that I have started maintaining a gardening journal (paper) which I fervently write in every night before I sleep.

Here is another plant-related picture, I love dogwoods. I am thinking about planting one in the front yard but I am torn between a dwarf ginkgo and the dogwood.

This evening, mum and I made a deconstructed Nonya rice dumpling. Instead of wrapping them individually like this, we layered it in a bamboo steamer, lasagna-style, rice-meat-pandan leaf-rice-pandan left-meat. It was so delicious that I forgot to shoot it. After dinner, I made a pot of flowering tea.

I cannot stray too far away from cooking and tea afterall.
